This card was made for the February 27 color challenge at Splitcoaststampers. The colors are Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry and Garden Green. A beautiful combination.
The main image is watercolored in the ink colors (I did add some Smoky Slate on the bird house). I wasn't doing heavy water coverage so I used the Shimmer White cardstock, a coated cardstock. It won't hold up to heavy watercolor but does fine with a light touch. Because ths image is fairly delicate and has lots of small detail I used a blender pen rather than an aqua painter or brush.
For the bottom panel I created the patterned paper by randomly stamping the birds and some foliage (from Bird Banter) in Rich Razzleberry ink on the same color cardstock. I finished it off with punched leaves and some glitter enamel dots. The main image is popped off the card using three circles cut from Garden Green cardstock.

Such pretty colors!!! I haven't been able to use this stamp yet without that stitched circle framelit. It's like they are attached at the hip. Your whole card is so well designed.
