Spooky Box Card

I have a fun fold card for Team O's challenge this week at Tic Tac Toe Challenge. As with so many boards I used several elements that weren't in my row.

My official row for the challenge is the diagonal Creepy, Green and Patterned Paper.

I recently went to the Always an Adventure Lawn Fawn event and that inspired me to get out my Lawn Fawn. I had fun making Lawn Fawn "creepy". Kind of hard to do with their stamps and dies!  While not completely creepy I think this fits the bill. I'm not a realistic zombie, skull, skeleton kind of Halloween gal anyway. I prefer the fluffy black cats and pumpkins along with a few cute witches and bats type of person. Lawn Fawn suits me well.

Here are a couple other photos and the card. The box collapses to fit in an envelope. I am going to find a small light to stick inside - my daughter suggested some fairy lights.

Products used:

  • Dies: Lawn Fawn Shadow Box Card and Halloween Add-on
  • Stamps: Lawn Fawn Batty for You (sentiment)
  • Patterned Paper: Echo Park Halloween and Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes (the green with purple blended over it)

Double Challenge Tuesday

Happy Tuesday everyone! I combined some design team challenges this week. I was in Colorado for  a wedding and didn't have much time for cardmaking.  So I combined the color challenge at Splitcoaststampers with the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

My card uses some new dies from Lawn Fawn that I have been itching to use. Mary's colors at SCS this week are Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight with any other color and pumpkins for dessert. I chose Mossy Meadow as a fourth color and the pumpkin fit the theme perfectly.

Calypso Coral is the color of the dots and shading on the gourd. I admit it doesn't show up that way; I guess in blending it over yellow it became really orange.  But it is there - I promise!

Products used:

  • Stamps: Lawn Fawn Happy Harvest
  • Dies: Lawn Fawn Stitched Pumpkins; Lawn Fawn Stitched Gourds
  • Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow, Mossy Meadow DSP
  • Ink: Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow, Versafine Black

Lawn Fawn Birthday

Happy Thursday! It's time for another Team O Tic Tac Toe Board! this time I chose the middle column down.

A funny thing happened while making this card. I fully intended for this card to say "Hope your day is the ZEST" but I couldn't find the stamps to make that sentence even though I have used it before. So I switched it to "You're the ZEST". Which is fine, except when all was said I done I realized that it didn't read as much like a birthday card as the other sentiment.

Well, this IS a birthday card. The inside banner has Happy Birthday on it! And the bonus of this card is that when I went to start die cutting I had all the pieces except the mouse leftover from another card!

Well, I need to keep this short as I have 24 swap cards to finish for the Lawn Fawn Always an Adventure this weekend.

Products used:

  • Dies: Zesty Lemon, Henry's ABCs
  • Stamps: You're the Zest

CAS Color Challenge

This month's color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches features some very fresh colors.

To create this card I first stamped the typewriter then masked it off with a Post-It note. I stamped the flowers in the blue and used  a Copic marker to loosely color in the flowers.

I liked this sentiment even though I did not use the rainbow stamp included with this set. Finally I added a single rhinestone for just a little bling. (And I'm trying to use my embellishments! LOL!)

Products used:

  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Just My Type
  • Ink: Coastal Cabana, Starry Sky: Copic marker Y13

Lovely You Color CHallenge

I really like the earthy feel of Barbara's colors this week at Splitcoaststampers Color Challenge. I'm not sure if I can say I had dessert (maybe a light dessert) since my banner is a punch not a die cut. LOL!

This set is one of my "never give away" sets. It is so versatile. I've used it before as here and also made backgrounds with it.

To emphasize the earthiness of the colors I used a distressed looking EF and ripped the edge to show the DSP underneath.

I also love this sentiment. I'll keep this in my stash and put the appropriate sentiment on the inside when I send it.

Products used:

  • Stamps: Stampin' Up! Lovely You
  • Ink: Misty Moonlight, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve
  • Accessories: Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder, Mood Mauve Twine, Enamel Dots, Banner punch
