Color Challenge Orchid

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday, so it's another card for the weekly challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.  This week is a color challenge.
The colors this week are perfect for spring - I know many of you are looking forward to that!  I live in Southern California so my "brutal winter" is when it's 50 degrees!

The colors posted:
I used the Climbing Orchid stamp set and watercolored the image on mixed media paper using the two step method I described in this post.  This method allows you to watercolor images stamped in water based ink or dye.  Only this time I used my Stamparartus - a stamping platform from Stampin' Up! that has a few more features than the others on the market.  Very exciting - it will be available in June!

After watercoloring I die cut the top petals, center and leaf with the coordinating dies, then used foam dots to adhere to the card.  The sentiment is stamped and die cut using products from Sale-A-Bration.

I hope you enjoyed this card today.  I have a list of some of the supplies with links to my Stampin' Up! website below.  If you order please use Hostess code 6924WDJ - valid through March 28.  (If you order $150 of products-before tax and shipping-do not use the code so YOU get the hostess benefits.)

And a $50 order qualifies you to earn a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration catalog!  Details here.
