It's All About Balance

It's time for another Team O challenge at TicTacToe Challenge!  Here is my design team card for the diagonal from the upper left.

I've loved the slimline cards since they first started being shown, but I'm starting to make more of them.  For me, they offer variety in layout.  I have some stamps that are overwhelming on an A2 card but work perfectly on the narrow format.

The sentiment "balance" needed to be large and the best way to do that was down the side.  I wanted the letters to look like they were balancing on one another.

For this card, I chose my colors based on the paper.  The image is mostly neutrals with only the wrap as any significant color.  I knew I would be placing her over the pattern so I decided on a small unobtrusive one with a variety of colors. The color in this card comes mainly from the sentiment.

That's my card for today - now it's time to go eat a cupcake!

  2. Such a brilliant card Jeanne! I love the way you made the letters in the word Balance teeter on top of each other and the dividing curve and the dotty paper in coordinating colours and the beautifully coloured focal image. SO great! Vicky x

  5. You have such a great eye for design, Jeanne and I love how you came up with this one, with the curvy divide and the teetering letters - so clever! And your coloring is fantastic as always.
