Hi everyone! It's the second week of January and my second challenge of the month at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week I have a sketch for you.
Here is my sketch:
I specified that any shape can be used s long as it's not geometric - no circles, squares, etc.I chose this adorable new kangaroo from Stampin' Up! I toyed with putting her on an action wobble (perfect for a kangaroo, right?), but since this is a clean and simple challenge I wasn't sure if that would have been too much. So I stayed with just cutting her out and adhering her to the card with foam dots.
I used Real Red ink and a stencil which I masked off to get just a strip of hearts. The sentiment is one from a Lawn Fawn stamp set. When creating I often think I need to stick to just one manufacturer on the card to be consistent, but truth be told combining products leads to wonderful results! This sentiment worked great for this card in both style and content.
I hope you will find time to join us this week!

Jeanne that kangaroo is utterly adorable and perfect against the simple row of stencilled hearts. CAS perfection!
ReplyDeleteA wobbler can still be CAS Jeanne! But your kangaroo looks adorable just as she is, sending out love to all! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteI love this kangaroo! He/she so reminds me of the Animal Outing set. Love all the love he/she has to give. Such a cute card. I think wobbles can be on a clean and simple card - no harm in the element of surprise!
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo adorable!!!! Love the strip of blended hearts and I'm guessing his wobble is quite cute!
ReplyDeleteThis is very cute and not so lovey-dovey which is not my style. I will use this as my inspiration for Valentines this year. I don't have a kangaroo but I can use the idea. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet Valentine kangaroo, sure to brighten someone's day.
ReplyDeleteLove the heart strips!! So lovely, Jeanne.
