Today's card is one I made as a guest designer for the CAS Colours and Sketches blog. The blog features either a color challenge or sketch challenge each week. This week it is a sketch.
I wanted these feathers to be suggestive of wild duck feathers - kind of iridescent. I used my MISTI and shaded them by stamping them several times and sponging the sides (see this post).
Then I covered them in two coats of Wink of Stella.
They really do have quite a shine to them. I finished the card with a few sequins and the heat embossed sentiment.
Stamps and die: Stampin' Up! Four Feathers, Gorgeous Grunge, Impression Obsession Words for Art
Card stock: Stampin' Up! Crumb Cake and Soft Suede
Inks: Soft Suede, Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Lost Lagoon
Embossing powder: Ranger Silver Pearl
